I have been teaching for more than a decade at Erasmus University Rotterdam for bachelor master students in courses such as Media and Business transformation, Cultural Influences in Communication, Artificial Intelligence for Good, Contemporary approaches to digital cultures, and Globalization, Digitization and Cultures. I also supervise/supervised a number of PhD students on topics such as ethics and digital healthcare insurance in Nigeria, women and online engagement in rural Kerala, and political engagement in rural Namibia. I have also taught at Columbia University in New York, Christies Digital Marketing program in London and for the Erasmus Mundus project in Santiago de Compostela in Spain. I won the University Education prize for the best teaching at the university-wide level in 2017. I have also been nominated for a number of teaching awards including for the ISO (Interurban Student Consultation) ‘Teacher of the Year’ in higher education across the Netherlands, ‘Best Lecturer’ in the International Bachelors Program in Media and Communication for 2011, 2012 and 2013, winner the Best Female teacher award in 2011.
